About the Baker

   Hey there! I'm Ericka Matthews, the one-woman whirlwind behind Red Rosette Cakes & Desserts, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Every treat you see, is handcrafted with love, patience, and passion.

 

   My baking journey started as a little girl. My mom handed me a box of cake mix, and my grandmother taught me how to stack and ice the double layered cake, then... I took off! In 2015, I graduated from the Chef's Academy right here in Indianapolis, IN with an Associate's Degree in Pastry Arts.

 

    Over the years, my friends and family encouraged me to share my sweets beyond my circle. I noticed as I served them, what began as "just a hobby" quickly became my favorite way to make people feel special. So, in 2023, Red Rosette Cakes & Desserts was born.

 

   The name Red Rosette? It's my ode to the simple swirl of frosting that turns something good into something unforgettable. That's the spirit behind every cookie, cake, and chocolate-dipped treat I make: classic comfort with a signature twist.

 

   I specialize in desserts that make moments sweeter—I'm here for the birthdays, the breakups, the big wins, the "meh" days, and everything in between. Whatever the occasion, your order tells a story. I want you to feel thought of, welcomed, and delighted—because that's what dessert is really about!
